What verification tells you
Board Certification is an active credential. A practitioner listed as Active:
- Has met the education and eligibility requirements
- Has passed the Certification Exam for Structural Integration (CESI)
- Is in good standing
- Continues to meet recertification requirements
Search results show only practitioners with Active certification. If someone doesn't appear, their certification may be lapsed, suspended, revoked, or retired, or it may never have been issued.

Certification status definitions
Active
The practitioner has met the education and eligibility requirements, passed the CESI, continues to meet all recertification requirements, and is authorized to use the BCSI designation. Active is the only status considered Board Certified.
Lapsed
The practitioner previously held BCSI but didn't complete recertification for the current cycle. They may not use the BCSI designation. Reinstatement follows current certification policy and may require re-examination.
Suspended
The practitioner is temporarily restricted from using the BCSI designation and may not represent themselves as Board Certified. Suspension may relate to an audit, documentation issues, or professional conduct concerns, and is administered according to CBSI policy.
Revoked
The practitioner has lost certification rights through formal review procedures and may not represent themselves as Board Certified.
Retired
The practitioner previously held active certification and voluntarily relinquished it. They may not represent themselves as currently Board Certified.
Important to know
- Certification status reflects Board Certification (BCSI) only. Certification and IASI membership are separate programs.
- Verification doesn't evaluate, endorse, or guarantee any practitioner's individual practice style, services, or outcomes.
